Sarah Marie Walsh

Well, we made it back from vacation and things have finally started to calm down. We took a trip to visit my family and see the newest member of our family. My sister gave birth to a little girl in March and named her Sarah Marie. Bob and I were asked to be her godparents and the baptism was beautiful. Oh, it has been so long since we have had a baby in the family. She smelled sooo good, although my girls tell me its just the smell of formula and spit up. One day they will understand what I am talking about. You forget just how tiny they are and all the wonderful little noises they make...even if it is just gas!! I didnt expect to feel this way and I miss her like crazy. We had a great time visiting the rest of the family as well. I always love going back home and miss my family very much. I cant wait to see you all again soon and cherish the time we spent together. I love you baby Sarah!!

Stomache flu

Ok, I havent been on here in a while. I took a much needed vacation ( which I will share with you later) and then 2 days after returning home I got food poisoning. Ugghhh...nothing worse than being sick. So hopefully within the next few days I can share with you my trip and the wonderful time I had becoming a Godparent again.

Special Olympics State Track Meet

For those of you who dont know, my family and I volunteer with the Special Olympics. I cant begin to tell you how proud I am that my husband and children have participated in this program with me. I have always had a passion for working with Special Needs children. It all started in High School when I volunteered to help them out in gym class. I dont know if any of you have ever experienced that moment when you know what your mission in life is. For me it came shortly after spending my time with these girls in gym. At least once a day this girl would ask me "What is your name?" I would tease her and say "You know my name!" but I usually ended up having to tell her again that my name was Maria. Then one day she asked me the usual "What's your name?" This time I told her "You already know my name, it starts with the letter M remember?" She stood there thinking and saying "MMMMMMMMMM" and then came the word that I will never forget...Muck. I couldnt believe it. I had so much fun that year and was truly blessed to have met my new friend. She had named me MUCK and every now and again you can still hear my family calling me by that name. Here are a few pics from this past weekend. I hope you enjoy!!

Introduction

After two long days of trying to figure this blogging thing out, I have finally put together a blog site. Woohoo!! Should I admit that I had to call one of my daughters friend's mom to come over and help me?? I am hoping with Meehaa's Madness to meet new people, share stories, and keep family and friends updated on our lives. We are so busy and the girls have grown up so much over the last few years. We moved away from my family about 4 years ago and I know they miss all of us terribly. I miss them too. I dont want them to miss out on watching my girls blossoming into beautiful young women.
